But here’s the thing; it worked. He knew exactly when to make me laugh, when to dive deep, and when to just let me vent - he has a calming energy that somehow made everything feel a lot easier. By the end of each session, I didn’t just feel better - I felt like I could take on the world. Dan provided, based on his life experience, some different perspectives to gain an understanding of the drivers behind my drinking. I'm improving and working towards being totally sober. Currently on day 17 out of 19 without a drink. I have received different forms of counselling in the past which has not worked. The conversations with Dan have had a real positive impact and recommend anyone with alcohol issues to approach him.

He’s gone from making every excuse not to go to the first session to actually looking forward to the sessions each week and they really have an impact on him and help to change his mindset. Sometimes, you just need an extra pair of hands to help when you feel like nothing you say will ever land and these seem to be the safest, most encouraging ones you can get! Started seeing a counsellor and left with a friend. Dan has been there and is non judgmental and brutally honest and this approach works. Dan is a great listener and... read more talker. The walk and talk sessions are literally a breath of fresh air. Dan and his surroundings make you feel relaxed and willing to engage. Can’t recommend Dan enough, a great guy and I got the help I needed from Dan.
